SMOKIN’ AL’S BBQ

   Mouth-watering barbecue is all about sweet fruitwood smoke, tangy sauce, and love. At Smokin’ Al’s, the barbecue and everything else is made by hand, from scratch, with love. Our menu is a little kicky, a little offbeat, a little unusual--but home-cooking good. This is St. Louis-style barbecue at its wet, sloppy best. All of our pulled pork and ribs are smoked out back with fine Missouri cherry wood to give it a sweet aroma.

   For sauce fans, we offer two tastes: our Wolf Sauce for those who like a slight burn and the Pup Sauce for those who don’t. The Wolf Sauce is our unique blend of 11 peppers, white and balsamic vinegar, tomato paste, onions, beer and a splash of molasses. Not sweet, just tangy. The Pup Sauce is milder and sweeter with a little zip.

   We run a barbecue joint that’s kid friendly and paper-plate homey. From the boots and saddles on the wall to the red-checked tablecloths to the blues on the sound system, this is casual dining for the family or the boys looking for a hearty lunch. Suits are welcome too (extra Wet Naps included). Come in often enough, and we’ll call you by name.
